This pandemic has brought unexpected challenges for Park Center members and staff, including adapting to support our members primarily through phone calls and telehealth. After months of providing support services remotely, we feel that we are prepared to resume in-person operations with new procedures in place to keep our community safe. Park Center is excited to announce that we will partially reopen our site-based programs on Monday, August 31. Site-based programs that will reopen at limited capacity include our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Day Program, Emerge Day Program, Intensive Outpatient Program and Outpatient Program.

Providing in-person, face-to-face support is essential to the recovery of our members who are learning to manage their mental health and substance use disorders. Community is essential to that recovery process. In order to reopen our doors in the safest way possible, we will implement the following procedures to limit exposure to COVID-19:

     - Daily temperature screenings will be required upon entry to facilities. Any individual with a temperature above 99.4° will not be permitted to enter.

     - Facial coverings will be required.

     - Daily sanitization procedures will be implemented in all facilities and vans.

     - Group sizes in our programs will be limited to no more than 9 people.

     - Social distancing of at least 6 feet between people will be required in groups and meetings.

In addition to these procedures, we have acquired personal protective equipment and upgraded the air filtration systems in our facilities. Staff in Park Center’s community-based programs (SOAR, Homeless Outreach, Independent Residential, Supported Employment) will continue to support our members through a combination of phone calls and in-person visits that adhere to social distancing guidelines. Our Supported Residential and Emerging Adults Housing programs will continue operating with staff support in the houses.

We will adhere to local and state guidelines to support the safety and well being of our members and staff. We look forward to being able to serve our community while ensuring a safe environment as we reopen.

Sincerely,

Will Connelly
