Emerging Adults

Emerging Adults Services is a strengths-based program that provides opportunities for young adults (18-24 years old) to pursue their goals in the areas of education, vocation, living situation and community integration.

Emerge

Emerge is Park Center’s psychosocial rehabilitation program for people 18-24 years old. Offers skill building, social integration and recovery workshops, Monday through Friday from 9am-3pm. Classes offered daily focus on continuing education or pursuing employment. Members can participate in a daily community outing.

Housing

Two (2) types of housing are available in Emerging Adults:

  • Supported Living with 24-hour staff (for women).
  • Therapeutic Community Living with staff supervision provided several times per week.

  • Occupational Therapy
  • Art Therapy
  • Recreational Therapy
  • Tutoring

Emerge program 

  • For young adults (ages 18-24) with a diagnosis of severe mental illness
  • Not appropriate for individuals with intellectual disabilities who have an IQ of less than 70
  • TennCare is accepted*

    *Other payment options are also available

    If household income is 50% or less than the median income, they can attend the program for free. If household income is more than 50% of the median income, sliding scale fee applies.

Emerging Adults Housing

  • For young adults (ages 18-24) with a diagnosis of severe mental illness
  • Must have a history of mental health hospitalization OR a history of foster care OR have very low income
  • Cannot be a sex offender or have a past of sexual acting-out behaviors
  • No insurance requirements
  • Not appropriate for individuals with intellectual disabilities who have an IQ of less than 70
